First Aid
First aid is about the management of a situation, whether someones
arrive.

Time is crucial to the wellbeing of the person(s) in the minutes leading
up to the arrival of the ambulance service.

The principles of first aid are to : preserve life, prevent deterioration and
promote recovery.

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 lay down various
requirements for the provision of suitably trained first aiders in the
workplace.

The following should be considered :

A medium risk business(AssemblyPlants/Warehousing/Engineering)
should appoint at least one first aider for up to 20 employees. Two first
aiders for 20 - 100 employees.

A high risk business (Chemical plants/manufacturing/construction sites)
should appoint at least one first aider for up to 5 employees. Two first
aiders for 5 - 50 employees.
